AFAIK, the first quote is a shlok from some upanishad and goes sas follows:
स्त्रियश्चरित्रम् पुरुषस्य भाग्यम्
दैवो ना जानासि का पुरुष: वदन्ति
read as "striyash_charitram purushasya bhaagyam, daivo naa jaanaasi ka purush_ah vadanti".
Meaning "character of a woman and fate of a man, even gods don't know so what humans can say (or predict)".
